My nephew Josh
Here's Josh with his completed
Eagle Scout project
Josh's Eagle Scout Court of Honor was held in August
2008 and while I always knew that being an Eagle Scout
was a big accomplishment, I never realized just HOW big
it was before!

Josh is a High School Senior now and spends half his
school days taking classes at the local community
college.  He's a member of the undefeated varsity
football team, which went to the state semi-finals this
year. He also is on the wrestling team.

To say that I'm proud to have him as part of my family
would be a gross understatement.
February 3, 2009

After an eight year drought, Queen Anne's County High
School beat their cross county rivals Kent Island High
School in Wrestling to re-gain the "Schipul" trophy. This
trophy is awarded to one of these two high schools each
season as sort of a county championship and was named
after a long time wrestling coach Mr. Andy Schipul (now
deceased). At the end of the match the trophy is awarded
to the winning team captains by the widow of Mr. Schipul,
needless to say, Josh  was honored to be one of the
Senior members of this victorious squad.

P.S. Josh pinned his opponent in this, his last contest
against QA's arch rival.
Here's the picture that will stay with
Josh his entire life - and in 40 years
he'll look back and say "EEWWWWW"
just the way the rest of us do.  But for
today, 2009, I think it's a great picture.
Josh was acceptanced by The University of Maryland, College Park for the Fall 09 semester. He will be studying
Environmental Science and Technology with a concentration in Environmental Health.

Here's a few shots of moving day!
